Mid-Side: stereophonic harmonic generator / vitalizer+ is a stereo enhancer and processor with brand-new technology for vitalizing, coloring, controlling, adjusting and widening stereo material (the side part of a signal), as well as adding space, width and depth to mixes. A useful tool for mixing and mastering.
Every modern mix needs fat analogue sounds combined with digital purity, plus ambience, atmosphere, space/width and depth — Mid-Side: SHG/V+ gives it all. It is not just a basic stereo-widening tool; it is a new way of controlling and effecting the stereo space of your mixes, adding ambience, depth and higher harmonics / analog color to the stereo (side) part. It lets you split sound into Mid and Side parts and adjust them independently: equalize the side parts by two separate modules (freq, Q-bandwidth, boost), add higher harmonics / analog color, and delay the side signal by a few milliseconds to create theatrical atmospheres, ambience and space.
Attention: works ONLY with real stereo signals. You can detect a real stereo signal by setting the MID scroller to zero — if you hear the SIDE part, your audio is real stereo. Recommended on individual mixer channels during mixing; can also be used on the stereo bus / master during mixing or mastering with more gentle settings.
