Because you want to sound like a pro

All your favourite and worldwide successful artists have stunning sound — every commercial record is mastered in a professional studio. Perfect sound makes the first impression, and that is the most important thing in modern music. You can only achieve it with a combination of the best analog equipment and digital tools, long-term experience, accurate monitoring and an acoustically treated studio.

Transparent yet loud, with real dynamics

Software “pseudo-mastering” tends to sound distorted and squashed at competitive volumes — harsh transients, flat sharp highs, squared sub bass. Analog mastering works with real signal, not numbers. We use transparent analog compression, vacuum-tube saturation, analog limiting, clipping of hi-end AD converters and transparent digital limiters to get loud, dynamic and pleasant sound.

Class-A equipment: warm analog color

Vacuum tubes and other components produce 1st, 2nd and 3rd harmonics plus saturation / rounding of peaks, which makes the sound warmer, fatter and richer — round fat bass, intense but pleasant mids, silky trebles, all without heavy EQ boosting. Many software emulations simply produce distortion and digital aliasing instead of real coloring.

Experienced mastering engineer

Our engineer has more than 10 years of experience producing and mixing music, playing in bands and as a DJ, and organizing music events — plus 4 years working in another mastering studio (A.D.) and years as the leading DSP programmer at G-Sonique, so he also knows the technical secrets of digital audio processing.

Sounds good everywhere

Club, open-air party, home hi-fi or car. Basic nearfield monitors are perfect for mixing but have a flat, plastic sound. Mastering studios use expensive hi-end audiophile speakers combining the linearity of monitors with the detail and fullness of hi-fi sound, plus several reference pairs in a second room to make sure your track translates everywhere.

Treated room, accurate monitoring

Bad room acoustics change the amount of frequencies you hear — bass gets multiplied, others reflect off walls or are over-absorbed by too many diffusers. This can affect individual frequencies by +/- 6 dB or more. Accurate decisions are only possible in a professionally calculated and measured studio.
