Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we get asked most often.
Our products are always sent immediately after the order was placed. An e-mail is sent to everyone automatically.
If you have not received your product via e-mail, please check your “spam”, “junk” or
“bulk” folder before you contact us. If you realized your order via bank transfer, where the payment
process is often delayed for several days, the product will be sent to you as soon as the payment is fully cleared.
No. G-Sonique is a very small and independent company that consists only of two people. We do all the hard work
like programming the instruments, graphics design, selling the products, marketing and customer support. Programming
musical instruments and effects is our life-span goal and a full-time job which requires a lot of time and resources.
Therefore we need the support from everyone who likes G-Sonique so we can keep creating better and better instruments
for you – the musicians.
Most of our products are plugins using the VST and VSTi technologies. This means they need to be added to some musical
software (also called a “host application”), e.g. Cubase, FL Studio, Logic, Sonar, Orion, Live, Digital
Performer, etc. The plugins have to be installed into a specific VST folder and activated in the host application.
Your activation was probably not successful because of a wrong serial or a typo in your email registration address.
Please go to the appdata folder (type
%appdata% into the search bar in Windows) and locate two files named
[nameofplugin]name.txt and [nameofplugin]serial.txt. Open them in any editor like Notepad or
WordPad and verify your registration data is correct (if not, edit and save).
Unfortunately not all of our products are MAC compatible. Only our rompler series and sample packs are available for OSX.
Our old series of plugins are at the moment Windows only.
All current customers will obtain new updates automatically via the email used for registration of the product. Please
don't forget to check your “spam”, “junk” or “bulk” folder. If you didn't receive it
(in case your registered email is no longer valid) please contact us with your name, full address, date of purchase and
email used for registration. We will verify the data and process your request shortly.
Plugins with the x64 logo in the shop section also have a 64-bit version. Plugins without the x64 logo are 32-bit only;
they work great in any 64-bit DAW using its internal bridge (Cubase up to 8.5, FL Studio, Reaper, Sonar, etc.). In a DAW
without an internal bridge (e.g. Ableton or Studio One), an external bridge such as jBridge is needed to run 32-bit
versions properly.
In this case, please use these settings in FL Studio:
- Open the settings tab on the instrument.
- Check “Use fixed size buffers” and “Use maximum buffer size from host”.
- (In FL20 and higher you'll find the setting under the “Processing” tab of the settings menu.)
