Analog Tape ASX-72
What users say
Versatile analog tape plug-in that emulates various types of analog tapes and their electronics — from 1960s to warm 1980s and clean 90s.
Let's be honest — most "analog tape" plug-ins do almost nothing but simple classic saturation. A real reel-to-reel hardware recorder affects sound in many non-linear ways: natural non-linear compression, wow and flutter, variable noises and hiss, hysteresis, rounding and softening of sharp transients and trebles. Many producers need a versatile analog tape plug-in that can emulate various types of tapes and their electronics (recording electromagnets, pre-amps) from various ages.
We designed Analog Tape ASX-72 to offer various types of tape sound for various styles of use and a high level of sound creativity: from a very gentle "invisible" modern tape sound that adds just a little warmth, to a very fat, grungy vintage sound. Use ASX-72 with subtle settings while mixing modern tracks, add massive dirt to rock / indie, add real analog sound to techno or DnB, add noisy wavy sound to synthwave, or psychedelic atmosphere of twisted old tapes to psytrance / dub / psychill — or just make your digital beats and synths more realistic and natural.
ASX-72 is a lot of fun and sound creativity. It is not just another mix plug-in with an almost inaudible effect designed only for a few audiophile mix engineers — with ASX-72 you can totally change the character of your drums, synths, guitars, vocals and strings, while still being able to use it as a very gentle mix processor with low settings.
Analog Tape ASX-72 comes as a x32-bit / x64-bit native VST effect plug-in.
