It is a well known fact that analog hardware compressors do their job better, more naturally and more transparently. Hi-end analog mastering compressors are usually very expensive, and for mixing you need tens of compressors.
Most digital compressors are not very transparent and produce a lot of distortion and artifacts. The new G-Sonique DTC-1 is one of the most transparent VST compressors around! Try to use significant gain reduction (10 dB and more) and compare it with other VST compressors.
G-Sonique DTC-1 is modeled after analog VCA-based (voltage controlled amplifier) bus compressors, known for their transparency and clear sound without a lot of coloration and distortion. DTC-1 is perfect for tracking/mixing and very usable for transparent compression during mastering.
