Mid-Side Envelope Follower FX multi-filter+ is a VST effect from the G-Creative series. An envelope follower modulates a filter by the dynamics of a signal (with attack, release and envelope amounts) — the dynamics and amplitude of the music signal modulate the cutoff frequency, resulting in a funky, liquid filtering effect that responds to the musical material.
But this plug-in offers much more: the signal is split into MID (mono) and SIDE (stereo) parts, each boosted or attenuated to create larger or smaller panoramic 3D effects, filtered by 9 filters and processed by a Ring Modulation Twist FX or Analog Distortion FX. Each of the two filters can be modulated by an envelope follower and by an LFO (speed, depth, 4 waveforms). A Dry/Wet knob lets you use gentle effects (10% wet) or fully altered signals for breakdowns, intros and outros via automation.
Use it on stereo beats or percussion for new, progressive or funky sounds; on individual stereo channels (synths, pads, FX); or on the main stereo bus of dance music via Dry/Wet automation.
