Mid-Side: Creative Stereophase Filter+

Mid-Side: Creative Stereo-Phase filter+ is a VST effect unit that offers new creative ways of stereophonic sound modulation. It creates special 3D modulation effects with phasing / filtering and the illusion of effected sound that flies around your head while the center (mid) of the sound stays untouched — from weird psychedelic modulation to side phase and filter effects. A very useful and creative effect for both electronic dance and acoustic music.

The overall sound is split into mono (MID) and stereo (SIDE) parts. You can set the volume for the mid and side parts separately; the side (stereo) part can be boosted up to 5 times and further modulated, creating bigger 3D stereo spacings and the illusion of sound flying around your head. The stereo (SIDE) part is processed by a phase modulation unit, a time modulation unit (delay side vs. mid, or filtered vs. side, plus floating LFO delay modulation) and analog-sounding liquid filters (9 types) including G-Filters modeled after DSP chips and a creamy analog low-pass, modulated by a free-running LFO.

Attention: works ONLY with real stereo signals (2 channels of slightly different signals). You can detect a real stereo signal by setting the MID scroller to zero — if you hear the SIDE part, your audio is real stereo. A mono channel can be made stereo by adding reverb, ping-pong delay or other effects.
